The 3000 Day Safety Club

The 3000 Day Safety Club would like to thank all its members for their help in 2010. This past year our club fund-raisers included two barbecue dinners, an annual car & bike show, a food drive, and a recycling project. Our efforts allowed us to maintain our long-standing support of Sheltering Arms Hospital with a generous donation of $63,000.

A cash donation of $1,503.00 and 1,362 pounds of food were collected and donated to the Food Bank of Central Virginia. That donation equaled 8,900 meals. In November we made another donation of $2,500 to the Food Bank of Central Virginia.

At Christmas we collected funds and made a donation to a family who temporarily met hard times. We had the privilege of volunteering at Casino Night, at SAH Club Rec. We dealt cards, played bingo, ran slots, rolled dice, and just enjoyed helping those in our community that are recovering from injury. We also caught up on the delivery of safe day plaques.

October the 1st will be the date of our 6th annual car and bike show and it will be a fun event for the entire family. We hope to have a large turnout.

The 3000 Day Club is extremely proud of the way Spruance site leadership and employees have supported the effort to help Sheltering Arms Hospital and the community.
