3000 Day Club Christmas Rally

The 3000 Day Club Christmas Rally was held on December 9th, 2011 at the Support Shops Sheet Metal Area. We raised $65,742 for Sheltering Arms!

Food Bank Donation

Our donation to the Food Bank on December 1st, 2011 was $1500. The Food Bank will receive an additional $1000 January 1st, 2012 at the volunteer recognition program. Total donation to the Central Virginia Food Bank will be $2500.

2011 Spruance Food Drive Results

Congratulations and thank you to all employees who helped out with the 2011 Spruance Food Drive and those who contributed food or cash contributions. The food drive resulted in 1,120 pounds of food and $2,263 dollars (cash and check donations) to benefit the Central Virginia Food Bank. This equals 12,455 meals for needy families (a 40% increase over last year's contributions!!). Thank you, DuPont Spruance employees!! Special thanks to the 3,000 Day Safety Club members who sponsored and coordinated the drive, and to Dennis Jones and employees in Transporation Services who helped with the collection boxes and delivery of the food to the Central Virginia Food Bank.

Sheltering Arms Strike Out Stroke at the Diamond

I can’t even begin to express my gratitude to all of you for your incredible support of the Strike Out Stroke Event! Your commitment to the Grand Slam Sponsorship blew me away… then the support for the ticket sales, then the help volunteering at the event, then returning the lower level tickets to be used by Club Rec, then the amazing check for $2,000 toward the Paragolfer!!!! I am overwhelmed by your generosity and financial support of our efforts to make the Strike Out Stroke an amazing event for the community and our local stroke survivors. We are thrilled to continue to move in the positive direction with fundraising for a future ParaGolfer for our adaptive recreation program. When we purchase this equipment Duponts name will be on it for sure!!!

Thanks for all of the assistance with traffic control and raffle ticket sales the night of the event. Those extra set of hands were very helpful. I hope that you all did get a chance to enjoy the game with your family, friends and any Dupont co-workers. Please forward this email to everyone that supported this cause!

3000 Day Club Food Drive

During our food drive we collected 1362 pounds of food and $1503.00 dollars in donations. This equals to 8,900 meals. We also donated $2,500.00 to the food bank November 2010.
