The 3000 Day Safety Club
The 3000 Day Safety Club was formed approximately 50 years ago by works engineering mechanics. They began with a desire to enhance working safely and support those who were less fortunate because of injury or illness. Qualifications for membership are to work safely without injury for 3000 safe days or 8.2 years. Each year through donations and various functions, monies are collected and in December a rally is held in a spirit of celebration of giving. The donations are then turned over to Sheltering Arms Physical Rehabilitation Centers. Our partnership with this shining light of our community has lasted for over 50 years and over $184,000.00 has been donated in this time.
Sheltering Arms was founded in 1889 and for 114 years has been committed to providing excellent care to ill and injured citizens; helping them return to health and lead productive lives while providing financial assistance to those in need.
Collectively our 3000 Day Safety Club has logged over 6.5 million safe days, and with our training and safety philosophy here at DuPont we look forward to many more.
Mission StatementThe 3000 Day Safety Club promotes safety both on and off the job by sharing our safey philosophy, knowledge and support with our fellow workers and the community.
